She ended the last book in the series with Goldy contemplating having a baby — I think that would spin off a whole new set of story lines. I am trying to get back in the game so to speak and doing some rearranging in my life to make it more conducive to writing. Her books were some of the first cozies for me and I have read them all. I am writing bull rider books for Harlequin right now, but you never know. This series is what kicked off my love of cozy mysteries. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve been reading her novels since her first one was published in 1990 or discovered the Goldy Schulz series more recently, we have everything you need to know about all of Diane Mott Davidson’s books. The author reveals that in 1989 when she was shopping around the book, it was rejected by a bunch of publishers –“scores of editors rejected it”. Her books were not formulaic/shallow/predictable. Fortunately, many still maintain websites and are active on social media so I can contact them. I credit Diane Mott Davidson for helping me through my treatment.
