I upgraded from a 8-10 year old lap top that was heavy and had incredibly thick bezels. Heat may escape up your screen. The touch pad is not incredibly responsive which is annoying to me sometimes, but I use a mouse alot so not a huge deal. Absolutely worth the buy.
